An honored and deeply respected chief of a small, reclusive village of outcasts. Despite the imminent threat of the Cult of the Damned, dangerous wildlife, and even the rumor of Werewolves stalking northern Dunley, he manages to keep his people fed and happy.

Willfred the Village Elder is a Level 64 V Blood Carrier.

Location[]

Willfred can be found in the Gracefall Village located in the North-Eastern region of Dunley Farmlands, but can only be fought as Willfred the Werewolf Chief during nighttime.

During Daytime, Willfred reverts to human form, becoming Willfred the Village Elder, and dies if you kill him, preventing you from drinking his blood. If human form Willfred is killed, the normal V blood respawn timer will start. It is not possible to try and fight Willfred at lower hp by damaging him during the day first; When Willfred transforms back into werewolf form, all HP is regained.

Attacks[]

  • Swipe - Willfred will swipe at you up to 2 times. This is extended if he hits both swipes, or cut short if you leave his range.
  • Rage - Willfred glows red, walks towards you quickly, and bites at you 3 times in quick succession.
  • Lunge - Willfred gets on all fours and prepares to lunge at you. This will inflict a 3 second stun and deal heavy damage as he shouts "Hold still".
  • Heart Strike - Willfred will turn invisible and encircle his prey. On Brutal Difficulty, Willfred will also summon a Frost Wolf for every player in combat. When he reveals himself again, Willfred will lunge at you with an attack that inflicts the Heart Strike debuff, This explodes and deals damage after 3 seconds. This attack's application and explosion cannot be countered, only evaded[1]. Occasionally Willfred will summon a copy of himself, which also performs Heart Strike once in close proximity. This appears to trigger randomly.[2]

When Willfred drops below 50% health for the first time, he'll howl and release a number of Prisoners[3] from the three cages around his 'arena'. When Willfred shouts "Let me have a taste" Willfred will try to eat one of them to restore his health. If Willfred successfully consumes a villager, Willfred will Heal[4] and Rage - running at the player. It is advised to kill as many prisoners as you can before Willfred consumes them.
